Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Maryland youth jailed for sneaker robbery

A Maryland teen found himself on the worng side of a jail cell following an armed robbery.

According to these Charles County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, April 30 at approximately 6:30 pm, officers responded to a call that an armed robbery had occurred in the area of Lexington Drive and Lexington Place.

Investigators said that 18-year-old Joshua Marable was driving in the area when he spotted his victim, and while stopped, he pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim as he walked down Lexington Drive and ordered him into his car. Once in the car, Marable pointed the weapon at the victim and demanded his sneakers. After obeying the gun-backed demand, the victim was ordered to exit the vehicle.

A subsequent investigation quickly identified and tracked down in his car with in possession of the stolen shoes.He was arrested and taken into custody and transported to the Charles County Detention Center where he was held with no bond.
